Even the lowest whispered conversations can be heard if there's a minimum of background noise. It's great for theatre in the park. Donnie E on 2004-01-02 I know it's bad, but I use this to keep an ear on my kids when they have their friends over. It doesn't really matter why, but I can hear everything perfectly clearly, even in a different room in the house. Gordie on 2005-03-11 I don't really want to say specifically why I ordered this, because no one wants to admit why they're snooping on someone else, but suffice to say that the device did the job I needed it to do and it works the way it is supposed to work.
